Such a Bright day out: Brighton

Questa estate sta arrivando agli sgoccioli, ma finchè le temperature si mantengono buone e il sole splende vale la pena godersela fino in fondo, così ho lasciato la giungla metropolitana e sono andato verso la costa! Olè!!!

This summer is coming to an end, but as long as the temperatures remain good and the sun shines it is worth to enjoy it to the hilt, so I left the urban jungle and went to the coast! Olè!

E' stata una giornata fantastica e pienissima di cose da fare e da vedere, così sono arrivato di buon mattino, quando ancora tutte le attività sulla spiaggia dovevano aprire.

Brighton ti accoglie con il bianco quasi accecante dei suoi palazzi che si specchiano sul mare.

Per prima cosa ho fatto subito una bella e lunga passeggiata per arrivare alla Marina, circa 2

miglia dal centro, dove nella zona del porto sono state ricavate aree commerciali e passeggiate tra negozi e ristoranti a metà tra il mare e le scogliere, un villaggio nella città.

It was a fantastic day and so full of things to do and see, so I arrived early in the morning, even when all the activities on the beach had to open.

Brighton welcomes you with almost blinding white of its buildings that are reflected on the sea.

First I immediately made a nice long walk to the Marina, about 2

miles from downtown, where the harbor area have been converted commercial areas and walks between shops and restaurants in the middle between the sea and the cliffs, a village in the town.

A seguire sono tornato verso il Brighton Pier, dove mi sono goduto un bel pranzetto di fish & chips, considerando che me lo preparavano pronto e non dovevo acciuffarlo al volo dall'acqua! Una bella comodità eh! Il Pier è uno spazio coinvolgente, con negozi, bancarelle di cibo e un vero e proprio parco divertimenti a picco sul mare. L'atmosfera è divertente e stimolante, gente di tutte le età e di tutte le provenienze a passeggio e sempre disponibile a una battuta o uno scambio di fotografie.

Afterwards I went back to the Brighton Pier, where I enjoyed a nice lunch of fish & chips. The Pier is immersive space, with shops, food stalls and a real amusement park overlooking the sea. The atmosphere is fun and challenging, people of all ages and of all backgrounds for a walk and always available to a joke or an exchange of photographs

Finito il mio delizioso pranzetto, sono andato a farmi un giretto tra le gallerie, gelaterie artigianali e locali sulla spiaggia e da lì alle viuzze del centro storico con le botteghine, i pub, i negozi di antiquariato e vintage, librerie...

Essendo un orsetto affamato e curioso non ho potuto esimermi dal visitare e provare le migliori bakeries locali.

Once finished my delicious meal, I went for a ride between galleries, ice cream parlors and clubs on the beach and from there to the narrow streets of the old town with little shops, pubs, antique and vintage shops, bookstores ...

Being a curious and hungry bear I could not fail to visit and try the best local bakeries.

La mattina infatti mi sono fiondato da Choccywoccydoodah, famosissima pasticceria-cioccolateria conosciuta in tutto il mondo grazie al suo programma televisivo, basato esattamente sulla sua originaria sede di Brighton (ne hanno una anche a Londra, in Carnaby Street). Chocolate truffle cake... un sogno autentico, servita con raspberry sauce e vanilla ice cream...

In the morning, in fact I sling from Choccywoccydoodah, famous chocolate pastry-known throughout the world thanks to his television program, based exactly on its original site of Brighton (they have one also in London, Carnaby Street). Chocolate truffle cake ... an authentic dream, served with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream ...
 

In centro poi si trova un'altra delle mie bakeries preferite, Angel Food bakery, dove ho assaggiato un meraviglioso strawberry cupcake, sempre per continuare la gloriosa estate delle fragole inglesi.

In the center then there is another one of my favorite bakeries, Angel Food bakery, where I tasted a wonderful strawberry cupcake, always to continue the glorious British summer strawberries.
 

Poco distante una piccola graziosa tea room: That little Teashop in the Lane. Sembra uscita da un romanzo. Mentre più vicino al Royal Pavillion (arabeggiante palazzo sede di mostre d'arte e laboratori culturali) si trova la coloratissima Cloud 9 Brighton... Ce ne sono così tante che la prossima volta dovrò portarmi un amico elefante per riuscire ad assaggiare tutto!!!

Not far away a pretty little tea room: That little Teashop in the Lane. Straight out of a novel. While closer to the Royal Pavillion (Arabic palace exhibitions of art and cultural workshops) is the colorful Cloud 9 Brighton ... There are so many that the next time I'll bring a friend elephant to be able to taste everything!
