Sunny bright Southbank voice.

We are experiencing a difficult rainy winter. But then a sunny precious day pops up and everything seems to be easier. 

That's the perfect moment to go and wander in Southbank: it is so inspiring and relaxing among tourists and people going home from work, under the London Eye turning in the sky, between wall graffiti and the river, the atmosphere is vibrant and you wish you could fix that moment as long as possible.

If you sit on one of the benches around the big wheel, maybe you will be gifted with the lovely sound of a guitar played by a blond girl. She will be kissed by the sun and will put the cherry on your day with her crystal clear voice: she is Charlotte Campbell, her name flies away on the leaflets that the wind picks up from the case and it's all simply delightful. Just listen:

E' un inverno difficile e piovoso. Ma poi spunta una giornata di sole e tutto sembra più facile. 

Quello è il momento perfetto per andare a passeggiare a Southbank: è così riposante e pieno di ispirazione quel luogo tra turisti e passanti che tornano dal lavoro, sotto il London Eye che gira nel cielo, tra i graffiti e il fiume, l'atmosfera è vibrante e vorresti solo poter fermare quel momento e fissarlo il più a lungo possibile.

A sedersi su una delle panchine vicino alla grande ruota, potreste essere premiati con il dolce suono di una chitarra suonata da una ragazza bionda. La vedrete baciata dal sole e metterà la ciliegina sulla vostra giornata con la sua voce cristallina: lei è Charlotte Campbell, il suo nome vola via sui volantini che il vento solleva dalla custodia ed è tutto piacevolissimo. London is more than fish & chips: so I decided to go and see where the fish comes from. 
I spent a fantastic time at the London Aquarium! A real sea life centre where you can meet fishes from all over the world, from Atlantic to Pacific to Indian Ocean, Caribbean Sea and, of course British and European.

I had the time of my life meeting so many new friends, from the scaring sharks to the friendly turtles, the rays and the lobsters, the clownfish (but everybody called him Nemo!) and the amazing jellyfish and tropical fish and so on.
I would have liked to swim with them (and I tried also.. as you can see) and, as a bear, I was good enough not to eat any of them!

My favourite? Well, there is one I found really curious: the Garibaldi fish! He comes from South American Seas and it looks like the red shirt Garibaldi was famous for, really original!

Anyway, there were so many different types of fish in those blue and deep waters... all of you can find a loved one! And you can also support specific campaigns to save or help these precious animals.

Londra è molto più di fish & chips: così ho deciso di andare a vedere da dove viene il pesce appunto.
Ho passato momenti bellissimi al London Aquarium! Un vero centro di vita marina dove si possono incontrare pesci da tutto il mondo, dall'Atlantico al Pacifico all'Oceano Indiano, ai Caraibi e naturalmente i mari britannici ed europei.
Mi sono divertito un sacco e ho incontrato tantissimi nuovi amici, dagli squali paurosi alle tartarughe marine più amichevoli, le razze e gli astici, il pesce pagliaccio (ma tutti lo chiamavano Nemo!) le meduse i pesci tropicali e così via.

Mi sarebbe piaciuto nuotare con loro (e ci ho anche provato... come potete vedere) e, da orso, sono stato buono e non me ne sono mangiato neanche uno!
Il mio preferito? Beh, ne ho trovato uno davvero curioso: il pesce Garibaldi! Viene dai mari dell'America del Sud e sembra la giubba per cui Garibaldi era conosciuto, molto originale!
Ad ogni modo, ci sono così tante specie diverse tra quelle profonde acque blu... ognuno può trovare il proprio prediletto! E potete anche supportare campagne specifiche per la protezione e salvaguardia di alcuni di questi preziosi animali

Valentine's day idea: I love London Eye

Hi guys! Look at me! I'm a very very brave bear! I took a ride on the London Eye from a special point: please, NEVER do the same! Anyway they won't allow you. 

It is really unacceptable to write a blog about my London experiences without the EDF Energy London Eye yet, so here I am. 

The wheel has been built between 1998 and 2000 under new sustainability objectives, with the aim to reduce CO2 emissions for a vision of a low carbon future.

The tour takes more or less 30 minutes and you can admire one of the most impressive views of the city, from Wembley to Canary Wharf, through the most important buildings.

There are a lot of different tours that you can choose following your needs: with Valentine's Day approaching you can enjoy the "Language of Love" program, but you can also book a capsule for private events and so on: have a look on the website to discover the endless variety to enjoy this fantastic attraction with ticket prices and opening times

Amici guardate come sono coraggioso! Mi sono fatto un giro sul London Eye da una postazione molto molto speciale: mi raccomando, NON azzardatevi a fare lo stesso e comunque non ve lo permetteranno.

Era davvero inaccettabile che tenessi un blog sulle mie esperienze a Londra senza avere ancora citato EDF Energy London Eye, quindi eccomi qui.

La ruota è stata costruita tra il 1998 e il 2000 sotto nuovi obiettivi di sostenibilità, con il proposito di ridurre le emissioni di CO2.

Strange days

It's clear enough that UK is having big floods problems at the moment. It seems to be the highest Thames level since it's recorded and the rainiest winter since 1760something.
On one side Teddy and me have chosen the new home -and that's fine, a good news- and on the other side we are sad for this situation, that we are facing directly, at the workplace, that is one of the most alerted by the Environment Agency.
I am always sad for people involved in these natural issues, wherever it happens and I am happy to be able to give the informations and the good advices I have been told, if asked.
Let's hope for the best, while Teddy is safe and sound in his hole and I try to do the same ;)

Thames in Surrey

E' abbastanza chiaro che in UK ci sono grossi problemi di esondazioni al momento. Pare che il Tamigi non sia mai stato tanto alto da quando viene misurato e che si tratti dell'inverno più piovoso dal 1760 e qualcosa.
Da un lato Teddy e io abbiamo scelto la nuova casa, il che è una buona notizia, dall'altro lato stiamo affrontando questa situazione personalmente, essendo il luogo di lavoro tra i più allertati dall'Environment Agency.
Mi rattrista sempre vedere persone coinvolte in queste situazioni di carattere naturale, ovunque accada, e sono felice di poter dare le informazioni e i suggerimenti che mi vengono a mia volta segnalati, se richiesti.
Speriamo per il meglio, mentre Teddy se ne sta al sicuro nel suo buco e io cerco di fare lo stesso ;)

Location Location Location!

Busy days for Teddy: he's moving and looking for a new hole. And me with him.
3 weeks and he (we)'ll be sleeping somewhere else, dreaming under a new piece of heaven.
Life is always unpredictable in London and you never know what to expect month by month.
Anyway, changing for something better is always good, and it's what we have to focus on facing this period.
We are not moving 3 corners from here, no, when it comes to these things you must do it in the best possible way, so we'll move completely on the other side, 2 hours and a half by car. 
Nice:
- to view new properties and fix appointments knowing that you must count at least 5 hours of transfer with return
- to plan all your things' moving during the free days
- to update all your registrations details of every possible branch, institution, office...
One thing by one. 
Do and don't think. 
This will be my motto and Teddy seems to agree.

Sono giorni impegnativi per Teddy: deve traslocare e io con lui.
3 settimane e staremo dormendo da qualche altra parte, osservando un nuovo pezzo di cielo.
La vita è sempre imprevedibile a Londra e non sai mai cosa aspettarti.
Ad ogni modo cambiare per qualcosa di meglio è sempre buona cosa, ed è ciò che dobbiamo tenere in mente affrontando questo periodo.
Perchè non ci stiamo muovendo 3 strade più in là, no, quando fai queste cose devi farle per bene, quindi ci spostiamo completamente dall'altra parte della città, 2 ore e mezza di macchina.
Bello:
- vedere nuove proprietà e fissare appuntamenti sapendo di dover contare almeno 5 ore di transfer A/R
- pianificare di spostare tutte le tue cose nei giorni liberi
- aggiornare tutte le registrazioni tra filiali, istituzioni, uffici...
Una cosa alla volta.
Fare e non pensare.
Questo sarà il mio motto e Teddy sembra essere d'accordo.

Simply Hampton Court

It's not easy. At all. It's one of my favourite places and I have so many pics that I don't know which to select for a post.

Hampton Court is magnificient, in the very west area of London it welcomes you with its wonderful gardens, that seem to come out from a fairy tale. The trees look like enormous mushrooms indeed and I love wandering around, thinking to my friend-bears and family, wishing they could see such a magnificient place with me.

Non è facile. Per niente. E' uno dei miei posti preferiti e ho così tante immagini che non so quali scegliere!
Hampton Court è magnifica, nell'area più a Ovest di Londra ti accoglie con i suoi giardini meravigliosi, che sembrano essere usciti da una fiaba.

Gli alberi appaiono come enormi funghi e adoro girarci intorno, pensando ai miei amici orsetti e alla mia famiglia, che sarebbe bello avere qui per mostrare loro questo posto magnifico.

Wembley Stadium

Today I want to share with you one of the most impressive experiences I've done in London. This was a gift for father-bear but I liked it even more.

This is a temple for every football fan.
The venue of some of the most important international competitions.
One of the dreams of every football player.
This is Wembley Stadium.

It's huge. Really. I was so tired at the end, after so many stairs with my little legs, but it is something I will never forget.

We explored every corner, from the press conference area, to the catering area (it hosts pre-event parties of something like 4000 guests), the seat blocks and then, out of the tunnel, directly to the pitch where I was ready for the kick-off: such an emotion! I was feeling like David Beckham!!! I was actually the only one admitted, because my little feet don't ruin the grass... human people are not allowed to do that ;)

After that, the Champions League Museum, with memorabilia and objects of the most important finals of this competition. How many memories and sensations...
That night I couldn't sleep.So I kept on dreaming with Bend It Like Beckham, the perfect movie to close a fantastic day.

Oggi voglio condividere con voi una delle esperienze più impressionanti che ho vissuto a Londra. Si trattava di un regalo per babbo-orso ma credo sia piaciuto a me anche di più.

E' il tempio di ogni fan del calcio.
La sede di alcune tra le più importanti competizioni internazionali.
Uno dei sogni di ogni giocatore di calcio.
E' lo stadio di Wembley.
E' enorme. Davvero. Ero esausto alla fine dopo così tanti gradini con le mie zampette, ma si tratta di qualcosa che non dimenticherò mai.

Abbiamo esplorato ogni angolo, dall'area conferenze stampa, all'area catering (ospita feste pre-evento per qualcosa come 4000 persone), le tribune e infine, fuori dal tunnel, direttamente sul campo dove ero pronto per il calcio d'inizio: che emozione! Mi sentivo come David Beckham! Ovviamente ero l'unico ammesso a fare qualcosa del genere perchè le mie zampette non rovinano l'erba... agli umani non è consentito ;)




Successivamente abbiamo visitato il Museo della Champions League, con oggettistica e ricordi delle più importanti finali della competizione. Quanti ricordi e sensazioni...
Quella notte non potevo dormire. Così ho continuato a emozionarmi con Sognando Beckham, il film perfetto per chiudere questa giornata fantastica.
